Is Soluva free to use?
Yes. You can scan and solve without an account or your own API key. An account is only needed if you want to save your history.
Does my photo leave my device?
Only when you choose the online scan button. Soluva sends the selected crop to Google Gemini, then sends only the extracted equation—not the photo—to WolframAlpha. The private local reader remains available.
What math does it support?
Arithmetic, algebraic expressions, single-variable equations, quadratics, derivatives, integrals, and function plots are supported today.
Why does the first photo take longer?
Your browser loads a compact OCR engine and English recognition data, then caches them. The progress state shows the real work instead of pretending it is instant.
Do I need an account?
No. Solve anonymously as much as you like. Create an account only if you want your worked solutions saved across visits.
Can Soluva read printed images too?
Yes. Auto mode tries printed text, focused equation, and hand printed layouts. You can choose Printed or Handwritten when the image type is obvious.
Can Soluva make mistakes?
Images can contain ambiguous symbols, so you always review the transcription. The math engine verifies supported problems, but you should still check high-stakes work.
